Arang Kel is a village on a plateau high above Kel, in the upper Neelum Valley of Azad Kashmir. A chairlift across the Neelum river and a short climb bring you to rolling green meadows, pine forest and long views across the valley to the snow peaks — one of the most beautiful spots in all of Kashmir.
Three easy days: a scenic drive up the length of the Neelum, a day exploring the plateau, and the journey home. Green, gentle and unforgettable.
Depart Okara with a pickup at Faisalabad or Lahore (the exact point is confirmed when you book), then the long, scenic drive north via Muzaffarabad into the Neelum Valley, following the river up through Kutton and Sharda. Overnight in the upper valley.
On to Kel, then across the Neelum by chairlift and a short climb up to the Arang Kel plateau — green meadows, pine forest and views over the valley to the snow peaks. Time to explore the village and the meadows before heading back down.
Drive back down the valley with photo stops — the Sharda ruins and the Neelum river — returning to Okara (drop-offs at Lahore / Faisalabad en route) by night.
